The construction for Silver Dusk Weyr started because there were
several Holds in the area that needed protection from threadfall. However, it was decided that the larger Holds further inland
needed a Weyr more so they began working on Amethyst Dawn. After a turn, a the Holds on the coast complained that the Weyr was too far away to offer adequate
security. Thus, Silver Dusk was born. The majority of construction was finished in the two-and-a-half turns before Star Dust
Weyr volunteered a Senior Queen ready to Clutch. Soon Sorcha and a few other essential staff members had settled in. Now after a month of living with
Sorcha, the weyrfolk must remember that after every dusk springs a brighter dawn. |
