ANNE'S RULES:
1. You may not use any of Anne's characters. Period. We could get in BIG trouble
if that happened. Also, you may not use Benden Weyr or Ruatha Hold. Your characters can be from there, but they
can't, say, know any of Anne's characters or the like. And they can't be related to them. It'd be easier if we
just ignored them and/or pretended they don't exist. Then, we wouldn't have to worry about that happening.
2. There are five colors dragons can be. Count them with me: Gold, Bronze, Brown, Blue,
and Green. NO OTHERs. There can be all hues of these colors, AS LONG as they are one distinguishable color.
Ruth was a mutation, and will not happen here. Got it? Good. Now, look at this clever little chart and be
pleased. You'll never have to think about making a female Bronzerider again. These are THE RULES:
Gold Female heterosexual only
Bronze Male heterosexual only
Brown Male
heterosexual only
Blue Male hetero/homosexual or Female homosexual
Green Female hetero/homosexual
or Male homosexual
On occasion, a heterosexual male will impress a green or a heterosexual female will impress
a blue. This may happen because the people handing out eggs think that there are too few of that color, or something
along those lines. These personas can just hope that, by some chance, their dragons fly/are flown by- dragons with riders
with a gender opposing their own. But if not- hey, the dragons choose..
3. There will be no religion, magic, or war on Pern. Renegades are one thing, but all out war is
another. Think: no armies, etc. Leave that to your other RPG groups.
4. No aliens. This means other universes, animals, or creatures not native to Anne McCaffery's Pern.-even
if they show up in her other books. Easy, right?
RULES PERTAINING ONLY TO SILVER DUSK:
1. Respect the BoD. Please. If we say you can't make a goldrider, don't try.
We CAN and MAY kick you out. Just.. don't be a bad little member. We try not to hold grudges, and you try not
to hand them to us on a silver platter.
2. Just TRY to use good grammar. The occasional 'i' instead of 'I' will pass, but is
it so hard to run a quick eye over what you've written before you press send? We just want it to be legible.
3. Ok, we SAY 'We're all friends here'... but a few of you are little liars and don't mean
that. So, if you have a problem with someone in the club, let's make like the school teacher and 'take it outside'
If you're going to confront a weyr member, do it privately and away from the weyr. Please.
